Hello and welcome to Week 6,
First of all, I love to create interactive PowerPoint slides, so I enjoyed this week one more time. I spent plenty of time trying to make my PP more dynamic, it wasn't easy, and it's frustrating sometimes.
Second of all, regarding the implementation of my final project, I started creating a blog for my students. I haven't informed them to check it yet, but I will tomorrow. My idea is that they get involved in the task of writing essays via emails. I hope it works well.
Finally, I will be posting how the implementation is going. Therefore, my blog will be useful to complete the final product at the end of the course.

ReplyDeleteI want to wish you the best of luck with your project. I hope all the effort you have put into planning your final project with your students works well.
Apart from wishing you the best, I am also very interested in reading about your results because I am also going to introduce a blog for teaching writing. However, I think I have to be more humble than you are in my expectations about my students' writing (please do not think I am patronizing them). I need to be sure to teach them from early on how to construct sentences, so, their blogging is going to focus mainly on that: ideas communicated using basic English writing form.
But anyways, my post here relates to you and your work. Please, let us know not only what happens with your project, but also, how you feel about it. It will be a pleasure to read about that.

ReplyDeleteYou gave a brief and clear description of what you did during this week! From your post I guess you always use PPP in your classes. I browsed your PPP and found it interesting. Creating PPP takes much effort and time as I experienced while making my own.
What about implementing technology plan, I am glad you have already started using a blog. I also share the same problem with you and Maria - my students don't like writing either. And I also decided to create a blog/wiki for my students to motivate them towards writing. But I haven't started yet because of the lack of Internet connection. But I'll do it next week. Reading your opinions about the changes you have made will give me pleasure!

ReplyDeleteYour project idea sounds very interesting! I amvery curious to hear how it succeeds as I am also playing with an idea of making the students either have their own blogs on some course next year or creating a shared blog where all the students in one group add their essays or shorter comments on a topic.

ReplyDeleteThe idea of using blogs is challenging. This is my first time to experience creating blogs. It sounds well. I hope it also works with my students. I haven't got great response from them yet , although they are very excited with the idea.
